special fleet chat on JAN 5th, at 1700 (USA, Eastern)

i have a big announcement for this fleet chat, so try to be there guys!

for everyone who misses it, i will make sure to make a forum post.

but i want to bring in as much of the fleet as we can...

again, its going to be a pretty special thing, and it concerns the fleet and everyone in it.

I would love to, but there's no way I can participate in a voice chat at 2pm PST on a Wednesday while I'm at work.

If we did fleet meetings in a traditional text based chat environment I could talk all day at work and my bosses would never know the difference.

Is there some way for us to do a hybrid fleet chat with some people on vent and others in text? I can wear headphones and listen to you all on Vent at work, but if i started talking everyone would think I was not doing work/being a crazy person.

I'd love to listen and participate via text.

Yes. Vent has a text based chat section aswell. If everyone on Vent also joins the chat room & ticks the TTS box at the bottom Microsoft Sam will speak for you & all will hear.

also, thanks bk for giving out instructions for ways to get on if you are at work or can't communicate via microphone. everyone should have speakers, and i will look into recording it for a podcast, though i might need bk's expert advice in that regard.

For whatever reason, I have been unable to get Ventrillo's audio codecs to work on my MacBook or my iMac at work. I can use Ventrillo's text chat features but I can neither transmit audio nor hear your audio.

I'll be there in text chat today.

Chargers/Vikings?? ugh no please.. When Green Bay and the Vikes meet for the third time in the playoffs, we (meaning Green Bay) will ELIMINATE the sorry Vikings (sorry Big Gun, even though we are Brother Knights here in game we are BIG TIME RIVALS when it comes to FOOTBALL :-)

Yay!! I have the capability to transmit too, but that wouldn't be very advisable for me while at the office
