I was just curious to see if I could make a new topic in a category that I am restricted from replying to. I tried to reply to Jay's 3/14/09 post in the Order's Guest questions topic that I started, but got denied.

"Sorry, but only users granted special access can reply to posts in this forum."

I'm not a Special User. Not sure if that's a back-handed compliment; maybe the thread got locked, or maybe my user-rights are mal-adjusted.

Hey Jack, sorry to hear about that...no back-handed compliments here. Took a look at the configuration and made an adjustment, I don't know if that correction solves the dilemma, as I am no expert. However, try it again and if you have further issues, you can PM me, Coco and/or Jay.

This is intended. Only Order members (and of course admins, but that's not the idea) are able to reply. If members and guests are able to reply, there's no point in creating a separate thread where people have a dedicated contact point.
Also bare in mind that this is a simple q&a thread, so it's not a place for discussion either.
